I’m over the moon to announce that I have been nominated and shortlisted for Isle of Man Sports Ambassador of the year.
This nomination means the world to me. Not only do I have the best job in the world but to do it whilst waving the ISLE OF MAN flag 🇮🇲 and to be able to do it for all of those around the world affected by diabetes makes it all the more special. I am honoured to even be thought of in this regard.
To represent, not only the Isle of Man, but the diabetes community globally whilst racing with Team Novo Nordisk (the world's first all-diabetes professional cycling team) allows me to help break down barriers associated with the condition whilst educating others about it.
I am so lucky to be able to represent the diabetes community through my racing and to link up with other diabetes organisations around the world (and in the countries I race) has been humbling. Seeing children thriving with diabetes, chasing dreams and most of all achieving them is a real motivation. Changing one life at a time.
The awards evening will take place on the 4th April at the Villa Marina on the Isle of Man.
Thank you
